Presidential Succession
If the President were to suddenly die, resign, or be removed from office, who would take over his position? That is where presidential succession becomes important. The 25th Amendment made presidential succession a part of the constitution of the United States. The first in line to take over for the President is the Vice President. If something were to happen to both the President and the Vice President, the duty would go to the Speaker of the House. After that is the President pro tempore. This list continues on.
