About the Judicial Branch
Unique to the Judicial Branch, all members are appointed by the president unlike the Legislative and Executive Branch where members are elected by the people. They serve no fixed term and can only be removed through impeachment. The court system consists of three types of courts - District Courts, Appeals Courts, and the Supreme Court.
